Adrenaline MACHINE
This build is of course a PvE build, but it makes a mighty fine one.
P/W (original, I know)
Attributes
10+1 Spear Mastery
10+4 Leadership
11+1 Command
Focused Anger
Spear of Fury
"Save Yourselves!"
"GFTE"
Spear Swipe
Anthem of Weariness
"Never Surrender!"
Signet of Return
Code here:
OQGjUqmLqSpbleieWYiihf+YybA
At r4 Luxon/Kurzick, a hit with Spear of Fury will provide 8 adrenaline, fully powering Save Yourselves. This can most readily be expedited by using Anthem of Weariness before engagement, as the weakness is applied before the Spear of Fury takes conditions into account! Save Yourselves can easily be maintained 90% of the time, leading to the hurt on your team being reduced by quite a bit.
I have found that this build makes an excellent anti-spike tool as well, particularly against ele bosses.

Why is your leadership 14? Saying Focussed Anger is wrong.

[skill=big]Focused Anger[/skill]
Well, I feel that Aggressive Refrain and 2 shouts produces all the adrenaline you will ever need.
[skill=big]Aggressive Refrain[/skill]
This skill, even if soon to be nerfed, is the best a paragon has as basic adrenaline gaining can get, imo. A lower leadership makes for greater versatility while still achieving Maximum adrenaline and high DPS output. I'd rather find a boost alternative for gaining adrenaline than my elite. FGJ! maybe?

personally I prefer to have a necro handle the adrenaline bonuses for me via dark fury, the ai uses it very well and it does basically the same thing as focused.

Leadership is 14 because when I posted this build I was running a vanquish train from Yak's to Frontier, and had just finished vanquishing all the Krytan areas.
There are a LOT of e-denial mesmers (spirit shackles, panic) in those areas, and Leadership makes a good counter to that, particularly when your shouts are adrenaline-based.
Spear of Fury only costs 5 energy, but seven was a perfect energy gain for me as it gave enough energy to go up on its own when rushing forward to use Spear Swipe, which costs ten.
Also, aggressive refrain doesn't provide the same control over adrenaline gain as spear of fury and focused anger, which for me produce 8 adrenaline when used together. I can time that to coincide with spikes.
Yeah, the build could use tweaking for other areas. But for my purposes, it was perfect.

Hmm, if you are going for damage and adrenaline, I find the new GW:EN skills to shift the para in a more pressure direction.
Template Code
OQCjUumI6S+ihiWYBZVYpbubybA
12 Leadership
9 Command
15 Spear
Spear of Redemtion
Holy Spear
Go For the Eyes
Vicious Attack
Anthem of Flame
Focused Anger
Aggressive Refrain
Signet of Return
You dont NEED 12 leadership, you are fine with 10, but Im lazy and I like 21s AR.
Also as the damage is 100% adrenaline based (aside from the DW) You dont really need to keep AR up between fights, put it up, hit a few times, gfte, FA, and ur good. Sometimes I drop Anthem for Conjure.
Every attack is basically power attack when your under your 45s of God Mode

I'm mainly going for a more support-oriented role. Being able to spam +100 armor has been invaluable when fighting everything but mesmers and some necros.
Also, Anthem of Flame has been pretty well replaced by Anthem of Weariness for me, weakness is a freaking awesome status effect in HM. And yes, curses necros can do it better.
However, I mainly see my role as para as keeping the party alive. Damage is a nice bonus, but not dying is even better.

I run something similar in the harder areas. Basicly I use myself mainly to keep Save Yourselves up as much as possible with the help of FA and sometimes even For Great Justice to fill the 15 sec gap when FA is down.
Spamming SY makes for a very boring build though but if max survival is all I'm after there's nothing more effective imo.

I don't think it calls for a superior rune, a 6 energy return should be enough. If you were running a skill with a 14 spec breakpoint it would be a little more understandable, but for one extra energy returned at the cost of 75 health?
